Description

As an ETL Developer at Symplectic, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of a number of concurrent data migrations and integrations, ensuring Symplectic’s software is successfully integrated with other enterprise systems in accordance with client needs.

Along with the Integration Manager and other members of the implementation team, you will assist in eliciting business requirements and advising new and existing clients on integration best practices. As a main point of contact between clients and the Symplectic development team, it is important that you demonstrate strong communication skills, and an awareness of the client’s decision-making process.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the delivery of technical solutions to an international client base, and will be excited by the challenge of working within a leading software house operating in a competitive industry.

You will be expected to gain extensive product knowledge in order to provide superb client support, and to help ensure that Symplectic’s support is continuously improved.

The ETL Developer role at Symplectic reports directly to the Head of Implementations and sits within the Client Support team.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the technical delivery of multiple concurrent software integrations to agreed customer requirements and timelines
  • Responsible for ensuring the data is of suitable quality and form for import into Symplectic’s software
  • Assist in the analysis of data and business requirements identified during the integration phase in collaboration with business stakeholders, and where relevant, the product development team
  • Proactively advise customers on how best to integrate Symplectic software with external systems, including client integrations through our REST API and data export advice from our reporting databases.
  • Assist with technical troubleshooting and responding to reported errors

You will also be expected to communicate progress to all relevant parties, providing early warning and escalation of potential problems to both the implementation team and Senior Management, and contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of integration processes, tools and practices

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of C#, SQL & XML
  • Experienced with SOAP, REST
  • Experience with SSIS or other ETL tools
  • Excellent problem solving skills with strong technical background and good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Assisting in the delivery of technical solutions which address identified business needs in a timely manner
  • Experience in using SSRS for report development would be beneficial
