You don’t need to climb a mountain to know that it’s high.
Alex is our senior technical consultant with a focus on open source research networking and linked data technologies. He also holds active community roles as co-lead of the VIVO Implementation Working Group, a DuraSpace incubator project, and as founder and board member of Agile Denver. Alex’s career in software development spans more than two decades in roles ranging from co-founder to employee to consultant. Alex will help develop Symplectic’s engagement with open source research networking communities and work with the rest of the Symplectic Development team to further enhance the interop between Elements and open research profile systems such as VIVO and Harvard Profiles RNS.
As a resident of Boulder, Alex loves exploring the Rocky Mountains with his family and their Samoyed, Koya. He is equally good at making his way down the mountains too; biking and snowboarding whenever he gets the chance. Though he may sound like a true ‘Coloradoan’, he assures us that Mountains are his only famous Colorado pastime.
